|Class project and donation
In 2008 the Class of '63 presented a brass plaque inscribed with the class motto for the Courtyard
area behind LE.H.S, just outside the cafeteria. The courtyard project is supported by the Alumni
Association. Alumni and friends may order bricks or plaques to honor a faculty member or alumni.

All '63 Alumni are invited to submit current photos for
inclusion on the PhotoGallery.
Please send photos by email. Please include names of persons in
the picture and the city where picture was taken.

The 90th Anniversary of Eastern was celebrated
on Saturday, May 19, 2018
Activities included the Annual Quaker Dash 5K at the Don Johnson Fieldhouse, 220 N.
Pennsylvania Ave. The fundraiser supported Eastern's PTSA.
Throughout the afternoon special presentations, music and dramatic performances took place in
the Auditorium; tours of the school were offered; memorabilia was on display in the Eleanor
Doersam Social Room and refreshments were available.
Many thanks to those who worked to host this celebration and to sponsors: the Lansing Eastern
High School Alumni Association, Lansing Eastern High School Staff, Students and Parents, the
Lansing School District, businesses, individuals and associations.
|The Class of '63 Summer Party
was held Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Tony M's Restaurant in Lansing

The Class of '63 Planning Committee met prior to the 2019 Summer Party to discuss the future of class
events, hosting the website and newsletter communications and, financing of these activities. Also
part of the discussion was the continuing availability of volunteers to facilitate these items.
The decision was made to continue hosting the annual party and website through, at least the
sixtieth anniversary of graduation. The website will be renewed through that time also. Annual
e-mailing of a newsletter and mailing of the newsletter, for those requesting this service will also
continue through 2023. Alumni are encouraged to keep all relevant addresses up to date with the

We have all experienced an unexpected interruption in our
lives during 2020. Your alumni planning committee hopes this
AUTUMN 2020 class update finds you and your family members
healthy and safe.
The Lansing Eastern we attended was closed following the Graduation of the
Class of 2019. The new facility is located on Marshall St.
The property was purchased by Sparrow Hospital and is being developed as
future expansion needs require.
